Lab Technician Available to Current WVUP Student

Lab Technician Position Available to a current student!

Hours: Starting out a Part-time position, 15-30 hrs a week
Training hours are Monday through Friday 1 pm to 5 pm. 
After training hours become more flexible. 

Once the semester is over this position morphs into a full-time 50 hours per week standard all through the summer, with the possibility of additional over-time. Our normal operating hours are from 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, with possible weekend and late night work.

Pay Rate: Our standard scale is based upon school year standing. That is Freshman $9/hour, Sophomore $10/hour, Junior $11/hour, Senior $12/hour.

Additional Requirements:
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Pass DOT Physical and Drug Screen

Job Summary:

Positions are to last approximately 4-6 months with potential for full time placement.

The Customer Service Agent will provide support to the customer.  Using a CRM based purchasing solution, the Customer Service Agent will enter customer orders and plays a key role in the direct customer experience and ensures professional and accurate purchases of goods and services.  The agent will also be expected to inspect returned merchandise from CWC retail stores or customers for quality defects, matching case labels with correct items for accurate inventory, performing any prep work needed and re-bagging resellable items.

Essential Functions/Major Duties:

• Answer incoming calls from customers with requests ranging from order placement, catalog requests, product inquiries, etc.
• Maintain a high level of service through each customer contact.
• Maintain the Customer Service goals in attendance, phone adherence, customer service skills, work quality and productivity, job and product knowledge and teamwork.
• Listen to and understand a variety of speech patterns and accents.
• Attend Customer Service and continuing education training classes in the Call Center.
• Consistent demonstration of commitment to the Coldwater Creek Customer Service philosophy.
• Ensure customer experience is met in quality and presentation of product.
• Ensure quality, productivity and safety on a daily basis.
• Based on business needs, cross training in various departments within the Distribution Center.

• Move work to work station by lifting or pulling carton or tote of product.
• Thorough inspection of clothing, hard goods or jewelry to determine if items are of good quality for resale.
• Distinguish defect type and exception area.

• Fold, prep and re-bag items neatly according to guidelines.
• Attach appropriate labeling to completed items; include packing slip and ID barcode to completed box of work.
• Ability to understand and follow CWC safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
· Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, CIS, CS or Communications or equivalent experience is required
· 1-3 years’ experience in web development, programming, software and application development
· 1-3 years’ experience with client-side web development and maintenance using COBOL, Microsoft Visual Basic (VB), HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript and an interest in continuing to develop these skills
· An understanding of the basic coding techniques used for developing for reuse
· The ability to develop and execute a unit test plan and work towards delivering code that is free of bugs and satisfies all communicated requirements
· Ability to communicate issues and challenges in a timely manner to both Senior Developers and General Manager (both verbally and/or in writing)
· Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented and creative environment
